Power Potential on Machai Branch:
There are 19 sites on the Machai branch canal where falls have been designed for a uniform slope of the canal. The height of these falls varies in the range of 1.2m to 3.65m thereby resulting in the power potential at each fall. The indicated on individual fall thus ranges from 685 kW to 1726 kW. These potential sites are located between RD 240ft and RD 74025ft. A metaled petrol road leads along the length of this canal. There are pockets of population along the canal with basic infrastructure facilities available.
